It was built in the early gothic style and had a significant role in the 16th and 17th-century wars against the armies of the Ottoman Empire. The best way to approach the ruin and the forest path which leads towards it is to take the road that connects Po\u017eega and Nova Kapela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/pozega-tz.hr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Viskovacki-grad_utvrde_Pozeska-gora-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3500\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>\u201cVi\u0161kova\u010dki grad\u201d fortress (364 m.a.s.l.)<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This medieval fortress ruin rises above the village of Gradski Vrhovci just south of Po\u017eega, not too far from the city center. It is surrounded by a still visible moat but of the fortification itself, only parts of the south-western walls still stand. The best way to approach the forest path which leads to the ruin is to take the road that connects Po\u017eega and Nova Kapela and stop in the small village of \u0160krabutnik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>\u201cDola\u010dki grad\u201d fortress (367 m.a.s.l.)<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Only a part of this fortress&#8217;s once-mighty octangular tower is still visible today. It was most likely built in the early 16th century and had an important role in the wars against the Ottoman invasion. The best way to approach the ruin is to take the forest road leading from the villages of Dolac and Brestovac, a short drive west from Po\u017eega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/pozega-tz.hr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Dolacki-grad_utvrde_Pozeska-gora-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3498\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kula Gra\u010danica (402 n\/nm)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This still-standing impressive medieval tower, with the half-ruined fortification around it, was built before the other four medieval forts on the Po\u017ee\u0161ka Gora hill, probably during the 13th century. Most likely its builders were the Knights Templar who in that period owned many estates all around the region.
