Sometimes it is hard to say which would be the perfect souvenir to take home. There are several interesting decorative as well as usable items which you can buy as memorabilia from Po\u017eega. Some souvenirs are typical for the region of Slavonia while others are universally Croatian.<\/p>\n

For the last couple of years, it has been popular to buy useful everyday items such as books or monographs as well as typical sweets, drinks or other home-made traditional products. However, you can never go wrong with good old simple souvenirs such as refrigerator magnets or postcards \u2013 those don\u2019t take up too much space and are a permanent reminder of a nice holiday or can become a thoughtful present for someone dear to you.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To assist you while you are visiting Po\u017eega, especially if you don\u2019t have too much time to look for a souvenir shop or some typical and traditional homemade products, we bring you the list with contact information below.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, most such gift shops are conveniently located in the city centre.<\/p>\n

Shopping<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you like classic kind of shopping and \u201cwindow watching\u201d as you stroll down the city streets, stopping for coffee and doing some sightseeing along the way, then you should visit the city centre. There you\u2019ll find clothing shops and boutiques, souvenirs and homemade product shops, bookstores, florists, jewellery shops, electronics shops and many others.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to do your entire shopping under one roof, then you should visit one of the two shopping malls with various World brands of clothes and footwear, sports equipment, cosmetics, toys and home decoration items.<\/p>\n

Generally speaking shops in Po\u017eega (and around Croatia) are mostly opened from 8 am to 8 pm. They are usually closed on Sundays and public holidays but large shopping malls tend to be opened even then.<\/p>\n

With the \u201cright weather conditions\u201d, already as you reach Po\u017eega by car, you will smell the sweetness in the air and realize you are entering \u201cthe city of chocolate\u201d. Thanks to the tradition since 1921, once part of the world-famous Nestle, the chocolates and liqueurs made by the \u201cZve\u010devo\u201d factory are known well outside Croatia. You can find their brandies, herbal and fruit liquors, pralines and chocolate bars made with the finest ingredients in the factory shop or in their boutique located right next to the main square.<\/p>\n
