Based on the rich and long tradition of gastronomy and craftsmanship in the meat processing of the Požega region, the traditional Kulenijada event was created and it is being held every year in June for the past forty years. Thanks to the Kulenijada in Požega, which found its place in the tourist offer of the city, it is recognized by the excursionists who came to the final events and kulen tastings organized for citizens, kulen became the first Croatian national product with a protected geographical origin.
